Mya's Hair Works is a full-service salon based in Punxsutawney, Pa. We can accommodate Bridal parties large or small. Formal Styles to everyday looks, cuts and styles for kids to adults, men or women, head to toe we can get you out the door looking your best.
It is owned and operated by Mya Hickok, with the help of Alicia Burkett, Patience Jacobson and Judie Goulish.
Mya worked at Holiday Hair in Punxsutawney, Stop and Go Hair Salon, and Dee Ann's Hair Works before buying Mya's, with over 11 years experience as a stylist.
Mya had worked with Alicia while Dee Ann owned the salon.
Alicia has worked with us for over six years. She specializes in Mens cuts, facials, and pedicures. With her patient, positive, and up-beat personality, she is also a hit with the kids.
Judie Goulish, having worked in this area for almost 30 years, is a fabulous addition to our salon. Mya worked with her for years at Stop and Go and also DeeAnn's Hair Works. She also worked at Jody's Cutting Cottage and at Tiesha's Flair for Hair after closing her longtime home salon. Judie can do it all...cuts, colors, perms and formal styles with all her expierence, we're sure she'll be able to please everyone.
Patience is new to the salon and is just starting to build her clientel. She graduated with honors from Jeff Tech in May, passed her boards with fly'n colors, and is ready to learn all there is to know about hair. She specializes in pedicures & manicures. To help Patience build up her client base, we're offering a coupon to receive 10% off any service of $15.00 or more when you schedule with her.
Mya's Hair Works was opened November 1, 2003, at its former location, 100 West Mahoning Street. We moved to 222 West Mahoning Street, our present location, on February 26th, 2007.
